Save all work and shut all other programs to guarantee that no other software interferes with the installation. Before starting, make sure the Taskbar is free of programs. EP0000551886.exe should be saved to a temporary or download location (please note this directory for reference). To begin the installation, go to the location where the file was downloaded and double-click the EP0000551886.exe file. Click "Yes" on the "User Account Control" page. If the "Select Language" screen opens, choose a language and then click "OK." Select the nation for this installation at the "Select Country" page, then click "Next." Click "Next" on the "Ricoh PCIe Memory Stick Host Controller Ver. 6.20.13.30" screen. Read the agreement in the "License Agreement" popup, then click "I Agree" to proceed with the installation. Click "Finish" on the "Finish" screen. To restart the computer, click "OK" on the "This system must be restarted to finish the installation" prompt. The Ricoh PCIe Memory Stick Host Contoller installation is complete after the machine restarts.
In most circumstances, you'll have to restart your computer for the driver update to take effect.
Tech Tip: Driver updates and downloads are available in a number of file formats with various file extensions. You may have downloaded an EXE, INF, ZIP, or SYS file, for example. Each file type requires a somewhat different installation approach.
