A Washington state tech executive was sentenced to two years in prison today in the Western District of Washington for his role in a scheme to obtain COVID-19 disaster relief loans guaranteed by the Small Business Administration (SBA) through the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Laura Beckmann applied for a $24,000.00 PPP loan during round 1 of the paycheck protection program. The SBA authorized them for a total of $24,000.00 on 4/6/2020. Germantown Trust & Savings Bank facilitated the loan. Laura Beckmann has got 100 percent of the permitted sum.
