As fans in the West await the first season of Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler, the wait will be much more difficult now that they know the series' reaction was strong enough to justify a second season. Fans have responded to the series' character design, overt sexual tone, and the contrast that tone has with the series' titular gambling in a various way online.

As someone who saw the anime earlier this year, I really appreciated the drama adaptation. This series is quite close to the anime; many of the fights and events are very similar. One significant distinction is the selection of fights shown. The drama doesn't cover all of the gambling matches that the anime covers, but I'm hoping to see them in season two. The performers are fantastic and, in my view, perfectly match their roles. Their acting is a little over-the-top, but what can you expect from such weird characters? Plus, their behavior may be rather amusing at times, to the point that I found myself laughing uncontrollably XD. Overall, this drama is rather nice and engaging. I strongly suggest it!

Before getting hospitalized after losing a gambling battle to Yumeko, his hair becomes white owing to the shock of his underestimate of his opponent. He subsequently reappeared in the manga's 'Re-Election Arc,' becoming Yumeko's ally.
