When you go to the classes part of the Arms and Armaments field guide, you will find a photo of a guy with comments scrawled around it that say things like "Before his time" "sad soul" "one of the greatest" and then you will see "Cayde." The commander and Ikora are seen in other areas, thus I believe this is the vanguard hunter Cayde. Please wait while the post history loads. This might take a while... Cayde turns to the player character as they prepare to combat the swarm of bad people making a break for it at the start of the game, after being informed on the situation at the alien penitentiary known as the Prison of Elders.
Cayde remarks, "This is a Cayde riff in six," referring to his own full robot designation, Cayde-6. Stay an eye on me for changes and attempt to keep up.
Guys, this is only a hypothesis. I was reading grimiore when I came across the rasputin ghost fragment 1 card. Take a look at it. It reminds me of how his buddy used to say that if Cayde could only remember who he is and how powerful he is, he would be able to rescue us all. With the arrival of ttk and the rumored growing participation of Cayde in the tale, do you think it's feasible that Cayde is really Rasputin? Perhaps, after the collapse, rasputin was able to backup itself inside Cayde and place a block in his memory. Again, this is just my opinion. What are your thoughts? Edit: I know Cayde claims it's a joke, but I still believe Cayde and Rasputin are related in some way. Please wait while the post history loads. This might take a while... "That's why I did what I did, Ace. I really didn't have a choice. It was either this or the vast beyond. Just know that if I ever wanted to see you and your mother again, your father had to do what he had to do." Cayde's diary Cayde was a human soldier with a hefty debt hanging over his head when Clovis Bray contacted him about having his burden eliminated. The employment offer isn't mentioned specifically, but Cayde recalls traveling to Europa and being changed into an Exo. Cayde's Letter Fragments in Destiny 2 show that Cayde had a wife and a kid called "Ace,"[1] that he squandered his life away from gambling, and that his only way out was to sell himself to Clovis Bray's Exo program. [2] Because he couldn't contact his family, he started a notebook that he addressed to Ace.

[edit] Origins
The Clovis Bray firm conceived and manufactured the Exos during humanity's Golden Age. The project's initial goal was to create a long-lasting, synthetic home for an uploaded human consciousness (an "exomind"), essentially making people immortal. [10] However, early exominds were inevitably subjected to a degenerative process known as the "loop/billboard/crash" cycle, which was characterized by cognitive and motor stereotypy (abnormal, repetitive behaviors), athetosis (slow, involuntary writhing movements of the limbs and extremities), and progressive loss of sapience. While degenerating exominds might still pass the Turing test for a short period of time, they were philosophical zombies who would eventually attain a condition similar to brain death. Clovis Bray II died as a result of this issue after being uploaded into an exomind format. Crashed exominds could be recovered from backup, but the "billboarding" process would just restart. [11]
Human Cayde 6
Cayde turns to the player character as they prepare to combat the swarm of bad people making a break for it at the start of the game, after being informed on the situation at the alien penitentiary known as the Prison of Elders. Cayde remarks, "This is a Cayde riff in six," referring to his own full robot designation, Cayde-6. Stay an eye on me for changes and attempt to keep up.
No matter where you turn in the Destiny 2 community, someone is making a joke about Cayde-6's death, if only to stop themselves from grieving.
When Bungie introduced the Forsaken expansion earlier this month, the company said that the plot of the add-ons will be revealed at E3. We now know what that tale is, according to the Destiny 2: Forsakens E3 2018 trailer: Cayde-6 will die, and Prince Uldren will murder him.
The Exos were formerly embroiled in an ancient struggle, and Rasputin was once in charge of them, as some Exos vaguely recall. The fight has long been forgotten, and the Exo remain ciphers, even to themselves, for their goal has also been forgotten. There is one indication to their origins, however: many Exos have dreams about the Deep Stone Crypt, or the "place where they were born." It is referred as as "the notorious subroutine that sowed the first Exo awareness." Cayde-6's memories go back much deeper, as he remembers being a human before traveling to Europa to become an Exo "came in the form of flesh and bone. I surrendered everything to the ice. I restarted. Rebooted." [1] [2] Exos seem unyielding and tireless, to the extent that looking fatigued is generally seen as amazing for an Exo. [7] Mechanically, they are so sophisticated that only a Ghost understands how they operate. Exos prefer to conceive of themselves as human in many aspects, or as having human brains in machine bodies. Exos might sometimes mistake the armor they wear for a part of their own body, giving them the sensation of being naked. [8]
Phoenix is an enigmatic lady with a troubled background. She comes seem as cold and indifferent. Mechanism of survival She will not allow anybody to come too near to her. She awoke as a guardian six years ago, but she refused to join the vanguard. In her opinion, she was only a mechanic, albeit a well-known one. She only cared about looting and scavenging for rare components. She is apprehended in the Tower after attempting to sneak in for pieces that Amanda Holliday was saving for her. She is now compelled to join the vanguard under Zavala, whom she accuses of ruining her life.
Cayde 6 Human Form
the Destiny Vanguard is made up of each of the three playable races in Destiny. Zavala is an Awoken Titan, Ikora is human Warlock, and Cayde-6 is an Exo Hunter. When we lose Cayde-6, we also lose any Exo participation on the Vanguard fireteam. The Exo Stranger is the only genuine Guardian who can replace Cayde as both a Hunter and a representative of one of the three races.
