Make a rough drawing first (for me, my first sketch will be my final line art). For sketching, I use dae pen 4, which can be downloaded here. Today, I choose a normal schoolgirl for an anime-styled / semi-realistic bust up image! Then, using a solid opacity pen or brush, block in the foundation colors. I wanted a more watercoloury and sketchy portrait, therefore I used the default 'Oil Paint' brush with 70% paint quantity and 70% paint density. It didn't really matter since I was going to make the backdrop bright. For added ease, separate layers for the skin, hair, shirt, bow, and straps!:3
Add the clothing shapes. It's a fitting pullover and a rigorous shirt in our situation. Avoid making too many obvious curves. The body should gently contract downward. Only exceptionally heavy people have thick necks in the anime. We have the typical narrow neck here. In this step, we will also draw various lines on the face. How to Make a Face: When sketching a head, here's a quick approach to precisely arrange the features. To begin, draw a vertical line along the center of the face. Then, draw a horizontal line halfway between the top of the head and the bottom of the jaw to align the eyes. Place the base of the nose midway between the eyes and the chin, and the center line of the mouth halfway between the eyes and the chin. Keep in mind that the distance between your eyes is the same as the length of another eye. The distance between the top of the eye and the base of the nose is the same as the length of the ear.
